The IAEA's 68th Annual General Conference is drawing to a close, with final discussions on possible resolutions likely to continue into the evening.

IAEA resolutions and decisions guide the Agency in conducting its activities for the coming year. Once they are in place, they will be published here.

This year's conference had nearly 3,000 registered participants, including 2,671 Member State representatives. The General Conference was attended by 285 delegates from international and non-governmental organizations, the largest number ever. 150 of the IAEA's 178 Member States were represented.

In his opening address to the General Conference on Monday, IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi outlined the Agency's key role in global affairs. "The IAEA's unique mission gives us the responsibility to address issues that affect all of humanity. Our priorities include strengthening and preventing the undermining of the non-proliferation regime that has laid the foundations of international peace and security for more than half a century; addressing the existential threat of climate change, which is more real than ever before; and eradicating the persistent injustices of poverty, disease and hunger."
