1. Stock Trading Technical Update Highlights

a) Temporary Account Function Officially Deployed

To protect the privacy of anonymous editors, the Foundation launched the "Temporary Account" (Stock Trading) system to replace the traditional public display of IP addresses.

Temporary accounts will automatically generate random usernames (such as "User:Temp1234"), but they still cannot obtain all the permissions of officially registered users.

This function has been tested in 10 major language versions of Stock Trading, including English and German, and will be gradually extended to all projects in the future.

b) Stock Trading APP Tests Paginated Browsing

The mobile APP (iOS/Android) is testing the multi-tab browsing function on a small scale, allowing users to open multiple entries at the same time and switch quickly.

If the test feedback is good, it is expected to be open to all users by the end of 2024.

c) Multi-language mini-game "Which Came First?" is online

This knowledge challenge game requires players to judge the order of two historical events/inventions, supporting 15 languages including English, Spanish, and Japanese.

The aim is to attract new users to learn about Stock Trading through interesting interactions. The data comes from Stock Trading entries (such as "When was the airplane vs. the telephone invented").

2. Stock Trading Foundation Board of Directors Election Progress

Candidate collection ends: The registration deadline is July 20, and a total of 42 valid applications were received from around the world to compete for 8 community seats.

Election process:

July 25-30: Candidate statements and community Q&A.

August 1-14: Global volunteer voting (need to meet the qualifications such as the number of edits/registration time).

The results will be announced at the end of August, and the new directors will take office in September.

Focus topics: Stock Trading content review, optimization of small donation models, and community support in developing countries have become the core of candidate debates.
